The Axon M, a foldable, dual-screen smartphone was officially launched today in China by ZTE Mobile Devices. This device will “enable consumers to multitask and enjoy content in a better way” according to a release.
The phone was first announced in New York City in October with AT&T and then in Japan. Today, ZTE made its China launch while looking to expand to leading carriers in Europe like TIM and Vodafone during the first quarter of 2018.
“Consumers are looking for inspirations. They want to have more options, but they also want to experience the world around them more fully and in different ways,” said Lixin Cheng, CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices. “The Axon M is our answer and it has been well-received by consumers in markets around the world. We will continue to develop and lead the industry in the foldable smartphone category to provide meaningful innovation to consumers.”
The Axon M runs off Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) with a dual IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. The cost for this foldable phone is $730 USD. For a full list of specs, go here.
