SecurityCenter’s applications allow IT administrators to identify and respond to vulnerabilities, threats and compliance violations quickly without the need to write complex scripts or use third party tools.
In addition to the app store, Tenable has made other enhancements to SecurityCenter. The company has simplified the framework for creating and updating dashboards, dynamic asset lists and reports. SecurityCenter v4.7 also offers extended mobile device coverage, so administrators can track mobile device types, users, and vulnerabilities through active and passive scanning as well as MDM integration. The newest version of the software provides remediation reports that summarize vulnerabilities, the most effective remediation and the time to remediate. SecurityCenter v4.7 supports SCAP 1.2, so users can upload and download SCAP files for scan jobs. Moreover, the updated version allows users to accept and recast risk rules to adjust priority based on the customer’s requirements.
“Tenable’s mandate is to protect its clients 24/7, so we realize that our solutions’ capabilities need to be as dynamic as the current threat landscape,” said Ron Gula, CEO, Tenable. “We provide customers with the only real-time vulnerability management platform with built-in scan, log, and network analysis technology to assess IT infrastructure risk. With this release, we’re making SecurityCenter even more strategic for our customers by providing direct access to the latest security and compliance intelligence as identified by our world class researchers.”
