The Sonus PSX SWe (software edition) and DSC SWe will enable businesses to virtualize their internal communication networks while reducing processing time, deployment costs and risk.
“The advent of virtualization technologies has radically changed how service providers and enterprises introduce new features and services,” David Tipping, VP and GM of products for Sonus said in a press release. “Sonus is committed to leading the way in delivering the flexibility and capability of virtualization so customers can simply and effectively deploy fully-featured SBCs, policy and routing management and diameter signaling controllers.”
The PSX Centralized and Routing Engine provide enterprises with enhanced network policy and routing management. Its platform is designed to deliver enhanced scalability while improving reliability throughout the internal network.
The PSW SWe is optimized for use across wireline and wireless networks, and includes Sonus’ Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), 4G LTE and access to media gateways, soft switches and VoLTE and VoLTE technologies.
The release also includes the launch of the SBC SWe session border controller, which is designed to function alongside Juniper Networks’ Contrail SDN and NFV platforms.
