Safety in numbers

On the other hand, the cyber world can protect itself with enhanced data protection. This prompts strongly the need for value-added security, network infrastructure and unified communications. In short, there’s strength in numbers.

Westcon Group has announced its agreement with SafeNet, Inc. for North American distribution. SafeNet provides cloud-based and on-premises authentication solutions to validate users and the apps and secure corporate networks.

“As costs associated with the theft of personal information continue to skyrocket, companies are scrambling to find new ways to protect and future-proof their security environments,” Andrew Warren, VP of Westcon Security Solutions for Westcon Group North America, said in a press release. “That’s no easy task, considering the market is flooded with new and more intelligent threats every day.”

SafeNet provides encryption solutions for both structured and unstructured data. Customers can store database and file levels confidently in the cloud or virtual environments. The unified key management feature helps enterprises protect cryptographic keys for encrypted data and applications.

In addition, the SafeNet Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) offer enhanced protection for online payments and digital signing services for various apps.
