In response to this, SAP has announced a “buy now, pay later” offering that will remove this roadblock and ensure that SMBs have access to new products that will meet their specific needs. The offering will give customers zero per cent financing for the first 24 months for any SAP product purchased off the reseller price list.
“With more than 80 percent of our 253,500 customers being SMEs, SAP recognizes the importance of providing these business owners with the option to easily invest in new technologies in a flexible manner,” said Kevin Gilroy, SVP and GM, Global SME Segment and Indirect Channels, SAP, in a release. “With the ‘buy now, pay later’ plan available via our extensive ecosystem of partners, we will be able to provide SMEs with an easy way to upgrade their current IT landscapes without worrying about costs.”
The new financing option will initially be available in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States, to name just a few, and will run until the end of September 2014. In addition to SAP software, the offering will also include one year of maintenance.
Customers can access the products through SAP’s partner ecosystem.
In addition to financing, SAP has also announced new products for its Edge portfolio, which provides SMBs with capabilities such as analytics, business intelligence, and information management.
The new products include SAP InfiniteInsight, which comes in two versions: the modeling edition and the analytics edition. The modeling edition enables users to build predictive models in a matter of hours, thereby giving them enhanced reporting measures and decision-making possibilities. Meanwhile, the analytics edition enables users to perform predictive analytics and receive clear insights into their data.
It also includes SAP IQ software and new, competitive pricing for the Edge edition of SAP solutions for enterprise information management.
