In order to maintain a sense of functionality and relevancy, technology must undergo testing based on very stringent rules. Network providers have to invest in hardware and software and quality control to remain in business and possibly lead the pack.
To address this, Calnex Solutions, a R&D test solutions provider for telecom synchronization, has launched the 100GbE SyncE test solution for design, verification and manufacturing of devices and systems from 100GbE to 100BT.
“New 100G backbone build-outs, driven by increasing bandwidth demands, must incorporate the precise synchronization demands being placed on new core network equipment,” said Tommy Cook, CEO of Calnex Solutions, in a press release.
“To design and manufacture products for this marketplace, it is essential that NEMs have up-to-the-minute test tools,” Cook added. “The Paragon-100G is the first test solution to make the synchronisation measurements required for 100GbE SyncE compliance.”
The Paragon-100G provides for wander testing of 100GbE and 40GbE SyncE equipments and systems to ITU-T G.8262. It uses a web-based user interface which is directly operable from a computer or a tablet device.
Additionally, the Paragon-100G is among the first products in the industry that meets the stringent criteria of network equipment manufacturers (NEMs).
The Calnex Paragon-100G supports testing of switches and routers in accordance with ITU-T G.8262 (SyncE) and IEEE 1588 (PTP) standards.
