This storage is offered along with proprietary hardware with pre-defining and validating solutions to remove performance guesswork. This technology for storage on Intel x86 servers simplifies management and saves cost, believes Maxta.
Intel SSDs are also configured for the interoperability of Maxta’s storage with Intel SATA SSDs and traditional hard drives, while still delivering capabilities like snapshots, clones, replication services, thin provisioning, inline compression and inline de-duplication that users would typically get in a NAS or SAN storage array.
“We have seen dramatic growth in interest for hyper-converged systems over the last year,” shared Yoram Novick, CEO of Maxta, in a press release. “The introduction of MaxDeploy enables Maxta to provide our customers ease of ordering, predictability and most of all, vendor choice in hyper-converged solutions. MaxDeploy running on Intel Server Systems platforms is a strong validation that customers can realize the promise of hyper-convergence on high-performance Intel server platforms.”
Maxta says the architecture offers a number of business benefits to partners/customers like mitigation of the risk of compatibility issues and shortens deployment time. Based on end-user network needs, it provides the option of choosing industry vendors, type and capacity. To meet end-user workloads, the architecture acts as a starting point for various hardware and software configurations.
“In addition to receiving the efficiencies and cost savings of hyper-convergence, customers can now leverage MaxDeploy for pre-validated configurations and predictability of performance,” said Al Diaz, VP and GM, Intel, in a press release. “We believe that MaxDeploy and Intel Server Boards and Systems provide enterprises with more options for flexibility and capacity scalability.”
On August 24 – 27, 2014, Maxta’s MaxDeploy solutions will be at display at the VMworld in San Francisco (booth #305).
