LG to launch QNED Mini LED TV at the virtual CES 2021

LG Electronics (LG) will be launching its first ever QNED Mini LED TVs at the virtual CES 2021, as part of premium LCD TV release. This new television roster is seen to be a large leap forward in LCD TV picture quality. With the help of quantum dot and NanoCell technologies with Mini LEDs as the light source, this TV’s brightness and contrast are far superior to that of conventional LCD televisions.

This 2021 roster also includes 10 new 4K and 8K models, which also covers a wide range of large screen sizes up to 86 inches.

OLED has been the top of LG’s TV offerings with its self-lit pixels and independent dimming control. This will be the main compelling choice for consumers with the arrival of QNED Mini LED TV. With LG’s new panel structure enhanced by LG’s advanced Mini LED backlighting, these TVs deliver a truly immersive viewing experience in the LCD space. Aside from this, QNED Mini LED TV will also have incredibly accurate colors combined with the advanced LED backlight offers better contrast and deeper blacks for photos of exceptional vibrancy and realism. With a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, these televisions render motion smoothly and more naturally.

The Mini LED backlighting is made up of almost 30,000 small LEDs that produce incredible peak brightness and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 when it is paired with up to nearly 2,500 dimming zones and advanced local dimming technology. Because of this, it allows for the device to have excellent HDR image quality with top-of-the-line contrast and blacks, a wide array of colors, and color accuracy.

“Our new QNED series is a premium home entertainment option that expands and improves the LCD TV space and gives consumers another terrific viewing choice,” said Nam Ho-jun, senior vice president of R&D at LG’s Home Entertainment Company. “These TVs deliver an experience that set them apart from other LCD TVs and speak to our commitment to innovation and pushing the standard forward.”

LG’s top-of-the-line 86-inch 8K QNED TV will be on display in LG’s virtual exhibition booth during CES 2021 starting January 11.
