The acquisition will enable Datapipe to expand into new areas, which include the government sector with its FISMA and FedRAMP-compliant cloud computing service. It will also help the company to bolster its Enterprise Cloud Risk Management solutions.
“We have seen increased client value in delivering secure and compliant managed cloud solutions that directly connect public cloud platforms, such as AWS, to our own hosted private cloud and traditional hosted infrastructure,” Robb Allen, CEO of Datapipe said in a press release. “With the acquisition of Layered Tech we are looking forward to providing this unique combination of security, choice and control to Government clients as they tackle the complexities of leveraging cloud-based services.”
The integration of Layered Tech’s services has allowed Datapipe to create the Datapipe Government Solutions division, which will focus on the optimization of cloud systems for the government. The new branch will specifically focus on the development of hybrid cloud solutions for federal customers.
