The award was presented to Ingram Micro’s Advanced Computing Division at the 2014 EMC World Global Partner Summit in May.
“Ingram Micro has advanced its technical, sales and marketing expertise, and is well positioned as an indispensable business partner that is delivering exceptional value to EMC,” said Scott Zahl, VP and GM, Ingram Micro Advanced Computing Division. “We’re proud to be named EMC’s North American Distributor of the Year, and will continue to work together to exceed our goals and help our mutual channel partners and their customers realize the promise of technology.”
Ingram Micro was recognized for the expansion of its EMC business in 2013, which made it EMC’s fastest-growing distributor.
The company also built out an EMC VSPEX Assembly and Integration Services practice, enabling it to ship fully-integrated VSPEX infrastructure solutions, and built more new relationships than any other North American EMC distributor.
Additionally, it grew its Data Protection and Availability Division (DPAD) business by over 40 per cent in 2013 by completing more than 350 DPAD assessments with its resellers and end-users.
“This unique and diversified approach to growing EMC’s business has resulted in faster solution deployment timelines and increased partner and end-user satisfaction, especially with VSPEX. These results also clearly demonstrate how Ingram Micro has enriched its EMC relationship to help us fuel growth and ensure success for our channel partners,” said Maureen Perrelli, senior director, Global Distribution, EMC.
