“HPE Haven OnDemand democratizes big data by bringing the power of machine learning, traditionally reserved for high-end, highly trained data scientists, to the mainstream developer community,” said Colin Mahony, senior vice-president and general manager, HPE Big Data. “Now everyone can leverage our easy to use cloud-based service to harness the rich variety of data available today to build applications that produce new insights, differentiate business, delight customers and deliver competitive advantage.”
The platform’s advanced text analysis capability, for instance, extracts key meanings from natural language by zeroing in on concepts and sentiments found in the text sources.
The image recognition and face detection capability of Haven OnDemand makes it possible for applications to detect specific features in a human face which can help in identifying the gender of individuals.
Haven OnDemand also uses neural technology convert into text form (in 50 languages), speech found video or audio files.
Using the platform, developers can also discern patterns from business data and build self-learning functions for analyzing structured data sets, helping predict possible events and recommend suitable actions.
