HPE expands IoT capabilities

This new offering from HPE will enable customers to better collect, process and analyze IoT data through its new HPE Edgeline IoT Systems which were developed as a result of a joint partnership between HPE and Intel.

As part of this offering customers can securely aggregate and analyze data in real-time while controlling devices and things. The systems come in ruggedized, mobile and rack-mounted versions and are suitable not only for the IT industry but also industrial, logistics, transportation, healthcare and government with retail applications certified to work with Microsoft Azure IoT Suite.

HPE IoT  Systems EL10 and EL20 are the first in a series of new systems that are now available for entry level deployments with the latter being designed to meet higher volume deployments. Future members of the Edgeline family are in the plan and will offer scalability and investment protection.

“Hewlett Packard Enterprise has one of the industry’s most comprehensive portfolios of IoT solutions and services…aimed at simplifying IoT for customers and driving business outcomes,” said Antonio Neri, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Group at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “The new solutions today are important elements of our strategy…[in] helping customers maximise the value and minimize the risks from IoT at the speed of business.”

This solution is an enterprise-level IoT senor which enables organisations to remotely monitor and manage Aruba Beacons across existing multivendor Wi-Fi networks from a central location using Meridian cloud service and are designed to interface with business and analytics applications.

The HPE Edgeline IoT Systems are available now in the U.S., Europe, the U.K. and Japan while the Aruba Sensors will be available to order on December 2, 2015.
