The two HP Officejet Enterprise Color MFP X585 and the HP Officejet Enterprise Color X555 are fully stocked with enterprise functions. They were designed to handle the rigorous printing demands of large business.
The printing devices are powered by HP’s PageWide Technology, which takes commercial printing technologies and scales them to a new set of enterprise printers. According to HP, both of the devices are expected to be available worldwide on April 1.
“Never before has an ink-based device been fully capable of meeting the performance requirements that large organizations demand,” said Dion Weisler, executive vice president, Printing and Personal Systems, HP. “CIOs and IT decision makers can be confident that the HP Officejet Enterprise series provides employees exceptional enterprise-grade security, fleet management and mobile printing options along with the fastest speed and lowest total cost of ownership.”
The HP Enterprise X series have the same user interface as HP’s Enterprise LaserJet printers. They support the lastet HP LaserJet FutureSmart firmware, and HP’s Open Extensibility Platform, which lets users quickly access enterprise software and solutions through one button on the device.
The new devices can print at up to 72 pages per minute in general office mode, which according to HP is twice as fast as their competitive printers. Additionally, the series requires up to 84 per cent less power while printing.
The series also includes a scan-optimized HP Flow bundle, providing an on-ramp to the digitized world with faster and more accurate enterprise-grade scanning and document processing that speed up the transition from a paper to digital office.
