“Quickly defining an analytics and big data strategy is an essential step for companies to remain competitive in an environment where the amount of data being collected is outpacing their ability to leverage it,” said Martin Risau, SVP, Analytics and Data Management, HP Enterprise Services, in a press release. “We deliver solutions with flexible consumption models to enable our customers to start focusing immediately on the opportunities that data creates to improve their business.”
BIMS has three areas of focus: discovery environments, which allow users to visualize data to share it faster and enables enhanced collaboration; analytics solutions, which meet business’ customized analytic needs; and hybrid data management, which helps companies deliver production-grade analytics that are integrated into day-to-day processes which use relevant data.
BIMS combines software, hardware and consulting services to help clients enhance delivery with increased focus and predictable costs. The service models include as-a-service, private cloud, hosted and on-premises solutions. Clients can leverage software from HP and its partners including HP HAVEn Big Data Platform spanning Hadoop, HP Autonomy, Vertica and HP enterprise security.
