EVault’s Storage Cloud for NetApp is a purpose built cloud service for NetApp FlexPod Datacenter and FlexPod Express customers. It offers integrated cloud data protection. The product is based on a pay-as-you-go service model with no upfront costs. EVault claims that NetApp Flexpod customers can achieve 49% savings over traditional CAPEX/OPEX solutions.
The Storage Cloud for NetApp solution relies upon NetApp’s snapshot and replication technologies for data protection to EVault’s secure multi-tenant storage cloud. NetApp replication technologies leverages block-level incremental replication and NetApp Snapshot copies for reliable, low-overhead disk-to-disk data protection.
This solution is available immediately in North America. EVault has plans to release its Storage Cloud for NetApp in Europe, the Middle East and Asia shortly.
“EVault’s proven cloud-connected data protection services are based on SSAE 16 compliant infrastructure, come with 24×7 support, and are trusted by more than 43,000 EVault customers worldwide. Now this same level of service and assurance are available to NetApp customers interested in lowering costs and improving service,” said Unmesh Kulkarni, VP, customer experience management, EVault. “EVault Storage Cloud – Data Protection Service for NetApp will allow NetApp customers to enjoy all of the benefits of storing their data in the cloud while eliminating concerns about security.”
In addition to the announcement about the release of the Storage Cloud for NetApp, EVault also announced it joined the NetApp partner program for service providers.
