The ENH1750EXT 802.11ac Dual-Band Wireless AC Outdoor Access Point, which can be set as either a wireless access point, Mesh or WDS, was specifically designed with inclement weather conditions in mind. It provides speeds of up to 450 Mbps on the 2.4 Ghz band, and 1,300 Mbps on the 5 Ghz band, and is compatible with 802.11ac-enabled wireless devices.
“The sheer number in mobile devices accessing the network using increasingly bandwidth-hungry applications for entertainment and productivity are stressing wireless LANs to their limits, resulting in connectivity and reliability issues with the network,” Eddie Lee, product line manager at EnGenius said in a press release. “This ruggedized 802.11ac outdoor access point provides users with an affordable, high-performance, dual-band solution that supports the demands for high-capacity, high-performance, high-density wireless network connectivity over large outdoor areas, even in the harshest environments.”
Contained within an IP68-rated casing designed to withstand the elements, the ENH1750EXT can be accessed remotely with EnGenius’ EX Controller Management software, allowing for seamless modifications and upgrades.
