The solution utilizes components of Trend Micro’s Deep Security – including its firewall, Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Protection System, and anti-malware protection – and any threats uncovered by the Deep Security software will be analyzed and remediated by Dell SecureWorks’ Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)-certified analysts.
The Monitored Server Protection (MSP) Service includes around-the-clock monitoring, health and uptime monitoring, and a unified customer portal. It is currently available for servers in cloud-hosted and on-premise environments.
“Cyber-attacks are becoming more sophisticated every day so it’s imperative for organizations to adopt a multi-layer protection strategy for their high-value servers,” said Dan DeRosa, director, product management, Dell SecureWorks.
“Our Incident Response experts and Counter Threat Unit researchers continually investigate breaches where hackers use a small entry point to infiltrate a company’s network and access critical servers. The Server Protection Services, powered by threat context from our incident response and research team, provides a strong security posture.”
The upcoming Managed Server Protection Solution includes all of the offerings of the MSP Service, but also provides policy creation and management, health management, and a hosted management console. This version of the software is slated for release in the first quarter of 2014.
