The survey shows that cyber security is the current top concern amongst Canadian companies. This survey was conducted at CDW’s annual business technology expo customer event.
When asked whether they faced security breaches and what their concerns were, 38 percent of respondents’ main concern was cybercrime, and 32 percent blamed inadequate employee training for this. Thirty four percent of respondents replied that data theft was their organizations’ main concern and 25 percent said it was information on personal devices.
“IT security is clearly a major issue for Canadian organizations,” stated Daniel Reio, Marketing Director for CDW Canada, in a press release. “A large number of companies have experienced cyberattacks in the past year and as firms become more mobile, they increase the number of devices and data validation points they need to manage, heightening their risks. With the help of our technical experts and the products and services we offer, CDW Canada is well positioned to help organizations identify their gaps and ensure their IT infrastructure and important corporate information are secure.”
