The consulting firm is Brightlight Consulting. It has expertise in business intelligence, data warehousing, big data and cloud-based analytics. In addition, the firm is also IBM’s premier consulting partner for Netezza.
Connectria and Brightlight will team up to offer businesses a big data analytics solution that can be run in the cloud for less cost.
Their alliance will allow companies to implement scalable IBM Netezza solutions in the cloud that use a monthly pay-as-you-go model. Brightlight will provide the strategic guidance and management services to help businesses deploy the analytics solution. Connectria will host the IBM PureData System, powered by Netezza.
IBM’s PureData System for Analytics uses Netezza technology to deliver data appliance for large-scale high-performance enterprise analytics. The technology optimizes performance of data services for analytic applications, allowing complex algorithms to run in minutes instead of hours.
“Unlocking the power of Netezza in the cloud with a world-class hosting provider like Connectria is extremely exciting,” stated Brightlight Consulting CTO David Overcash. “We are looking forward to bringing our analytics and Big Data expertise to additional markets, helping companies drive tremendous business value from the power of data.”
Connectria executives are also excited for the big data collaboration: “We are very pleased and excited about our alliance with Brightlight Consulting,” noted Rich Waidmann, Connectria president and CEO. “Through our partnership, customers may now run Big Data Analytics in the Cloud without the Big Data price tag and investment.”
