The partnership will see CloudLink integrate EMC’s RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines into its CloudLink SecureVSA data security platform. This, in turn, will enable users to safely leverage cloud technology to satisfy their data recovery needs.
“DR in the cloud offers an attractive value proposition for customers because of the savings on infrastructure costs and management complexity but data security remains the concern,” Alex Berlin, CEO of CloudLink said in a press release. “By offering a DR solution with integrated data security controls, enterprises can deliver IT as-a-service for DR and protect their data at their remote offices, while mitigating their security concerns. CSPs have the opportunity to offer a premium service that will drive revenue growth and differentiation in a highly competitive cloud market.”
The new release is a secure DRaaS product that will provide businesses with cloud security and data encryption management while reducing costs and decreasing the complexity of implementation. EMC’s RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines offers on-site and mobile replication, while CloudLink ensures that both Data at Rest (D@RE) and Data in Motion (DiM) are encrypted to reduce the threat of hacking.
