“Personal and business life are both moving faster. Our new release accelerates mobile productivity by combining unique collaboration features with powerful, but user-friendly security,” says Amit Pandey, vice president and general manager, Mobile Platforms Group, Citrix. “Features like one-touch online meetings are an industry first, and further extend the completeness of our enterprise mobility solution, providing true competitive advantages to our customers using Citrix XenMobile.”
Citrix XenMobile has a number of new features to simplify how users access work apps and data. With the updated solution, users don’t have to enter long passcodes to get into online meetings or work apps. Instead, all works applications can be accessed with a simple PIN number. For added security, the PINs are combined with user-specific digital certificates. Another time-saving feature is XenMobile’s one touch capability. It lets users automatically launch and join meetings directly from their calendar, using Citrix GoToMeeting or other services. For users dialing in to conference calls away from their desks, the solution has a useful dial in option that auto-dials the conference number and the participant code for you.
With its multi-domain support, IT administrators can quickly mobilize remote offices or onboard new units and subsidiaries of acquired companies. Additionally, the new release integrates and extends support for the new Amazon MDM APIs, iOS 7 MDM APIs, and Samsung KNOX platforms. The new solution also integrates Citrix’s Worx Mobile Apps, including GoToMeeting, Citrix ShareFile and Citrix GoToAssist, making it easier to deploy the different services.
Citrix XenMobile 8.6 will be available for download for current customers in November 2013.
