“In the last year since we introduced the Big Data Jobs Index, our clients have become more specific in the types of skills that they require when recruiting for big data talent,” said icrunchdata co-founder Todd Nevins.
“Data science and analytics have been key drivers to the growth in big data jobs, but we also see a broadening of preferred experience like managing a team and consulting with clients being added to job postings,” Nevins added.
The index follows the growth and total amount of job openings in areas which include analytics, big data, business intelligence, data science, software development and statistics. It also serves as a daily snapshot of the number of big data positions available online.
