“Converged infrastructure technology presents a key growth opportunity for our partners to attract new customers and profitably increase sales with their current customers,” said Chris Swahn, VP andGM, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, HP Solutions group. “Avnet has developed solutions that make it easier for our HP partners to bring converged infrastructure solutions to market by giving them tested configurations based on HP technology that they can present to their customers today. These solutions eliminate the need for a lengthy system design process, which will help accelerate customer buying cycles, implementation times and returns on investments.”
The solutions, designed to simplify system management and improve IT performance for end users, combine HP technologies, such as HP BladeSystem, HP ProLiant DL and HP networking, and provide pre-configured architecture and management models.
The products are scalable, ready-to-use and available through Avnet’s HP partner community. They are optimized for virtualization deployments of all sizes, with virtual machines numbering in the range of 96 to more than 320.
Avnet’s solutions eliminate the lengthy design process associated with implementing converged infrastructure, as they can be installed by Avnet within a matter of weeks.
Partners will receive installation and implementation services from HP, optional migration and support services for the new solutions from Avnet, and access to the Avnet Technical Army for further training in HP’s products, facilitation in technology demonstrations, and development of configurations and systems design.
