The new agreement will see the Avnet Services business division offer selected Linux courses under its AvnetAcademy brand in an online or on-site setting.
“Linux is a critical platform for nearly all the major technology manufacturers Avnet works with worldwide,” Matt Fox, senior director of education solutions for Avnet Services said in a press release. “We’ve seen demand for Linux education, and we’ve worked diligently to provide these courses.”
The AvnetAcademy catalogue currently features over 2,500 courses dealing with solutions from technology corporations including Cisco, IBM and VMWare. The inclusion of Linux enables AvnetAcademy to further expand its repertoire of educational material.
