The new file sync and share solution lets IT teams leverage their existing on-premise or cloud storage, which eliminates the cost of new infrastructure or having to migrate data. DataNow Enterprise also gives corporate users more consumer-like file access and keeps users’ files in sync at all times.
“DataNow Enterprise is a direct result of listening to our customers’ needs over the past two years. Our customers needed enterprise-level policies, encryption and control, but recognized that the ease of use would make or break the success of their programs,” said Ravi Khatod, SVP of Marketing for AppSense. “With DataNow Enterprise, we have created the only solution that is truly the best of both worlds.”
The solution has a number of new storage, security and policy features. They include new storage connection options, including SMB file shares, WebDAV servers and support for complex distributed file system (DFS) storage environments. DataNow Enterprise also offers mobile access to Microsoft SharePoint and end-to-end mobile data encryption for secure file sharing. Along with these storage and security features, the new solution offers rate-limiting support for improved network efficiency, and extensive data access policy controls. DataNow Enterprise has 48 different data policies, as opposed to its closest competitor, which AppSense says has only 26.
The complete AppSense workspace suite for mobilizing enterprise data now includes DesktopNow, MobileNow, and DataNow. AppSense works collaboratively with solutions from partners such as Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft, allowing enterprises to manage large, complex, and heterogeneous environments more effectively.
