The Ottawa-based consultancy for business and technology, Avenai, will be purchased by Accenture. This move will increase Accenture’s capacity to be a leader in technology transformation in Canada’s public sector with Avenai’s presence in this space.
“COVID-19 is leading many Canadian organizations to accelerate their technology transformations to ensure they come out ahead in this new reality, and that’s why we are adding significantly to our team of experts in Ottawa,” said Jeffrey Russell, president of Accenture in Canada.
Since Avenai’s founding in 2012, the company has already created a strong reputation with their clients, both in the commercial and public sector organizations located in the Ottawa and Toronto regions. Avenai has provided support in key business aspects such as strategy development, process improvement, IT-enabled business transformation and organization culture transformation.
The founders, Chris Brennan, Mike Scotten and Brendan Timmins will be joining Accenture as managing directors in its Strategy & Consulting practice. Here, they will continue the work they are doing for Avenai and work with Accenture leadership to create new business opportunities.
“Our team is excited about the opportunity to bring our expertise together with Accenture’s to provide the best outcomes for our clients and new opportunities for our people,” said Chris Brennan, Avenai’s CEO and co-founder.
The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.
