The case study adds that the software solves the critical needs and time-consuming tasks that trucking companies and brokers struggle with, and Prophesy DispatchSeries works with QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Peachtree, MAS/90, and other accounting software packages.
St. James Transports, founded in 2000 by Scott Gahr, relied on manual methods such as paper and pencil, Microsoft Excel, and whiteboards until the staff realized they needed something more. Then, the company invested in Prophesy Dispatch and has since integrated additional Prophesy modules, saving time and labour.
“Document Imaging has changed our operation tremendously; because of it, we were able to get rid of all of the paper we dealt with. There was a lot of behind the scenes work and papers passed through a lot of hands before Document Imaging. Now, everything is automatic and all of our notes are made in the system,” explained Angela Kimberlin, Operation Manager, St. James Transports.
“When we started using Prophesy, we thought it was great. We were able to grow and gain enough office staff to allow me to dive into the system, and then I went to Visions 2013 in Chicago and learned even more about the programs,” Angela continued, “I really do feel like a Prophesy super-user now!”
